66kV SAP (Senior Authorised Person)

We are seeking an experienced 66kV Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to join our team and play a critical role in managing high-voltage operations and ensuring the safe delivery of power.
Role Overview
As a 66kV SAP, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of high-voltage electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational procedures. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform switching, isolating, and issuing safety documentation for 66kV systems.
- Ensure compliance with operational procedures, safety standards, and industry regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and testing of high-voltage equipment.
- Supervise and support field teams to ensure safe and efficient operation of electrical systems.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to manage planned and emergency works effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance, and safety documentation.
- Identify and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain reliability.
- Stay updated on industry standards, best practices, and technological advancements in power distribution.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) with authorisation to operate at 66kV.
- Strong knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Excellent understanding of electrical engineering principles and power distribution networks.
- Familiarity with operational procedures and regulatory compliance in the energy sector.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on safety and reliability.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities, with the capacity to supervise and guide teams.
- Relevant certifications and qualifications, such as IOSH or NEBOSH, are desirable.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
