Business Analyst – MoD/Defence

Role Overview
As a Business Analyst within the MoD/Defence sector, you will collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements, develop actionable insights, and support the delivery of solutions that align with organizational objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of defence environments, strong analytical skills, and the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business requirements for defence-related projects.
- Analyse and translate complex processes into actionable insights, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Develop detailed documentation, including process flows, use cases, and functional specifications.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to identify challenges, opportunities, and stakeholder needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
- Support project managers in defining project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Conduct impact assessments and feasibility studies for proposed changes or initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with defence regulations, standards, and best practices throughout project lifecycles.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the MoD or defence sector.
- Strong knowledge of defence environments, processes, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage relationships at all levels.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques, including process mapping and requirements elicitation.
- Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall project methodologies.
- Relevant certifications such as BCS Business Analysis or CBAP are highly desirable.
- Eligibility for UK security clearance is essential.
