Senior Data Engineer

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities:

- Optimize data workflows for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver data solutions.
- Integrate and manage data from various sources, including APIs, databases, and external platforms.
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and security standards.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, addressing performance issues and implementing improvements.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data engineering to drive innovation and improvement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with expertise in designing and implementing data pipelines and architectures.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Hands-on experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Excellent knowledge of SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and BI platforms is a plus.
- Solid understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications are desirable.
