IT Procurement Specialist

Role Overview
As the IT Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing procurement processes, vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of IT procurement practices, and the ability to negotiate effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute IT procurement strategies that align with business objectives and budgets.
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and order placement.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand IT requirements and specifications.
- Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor market trends and emerging technologies to inform procurement decisions.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Track and report on procurement activities, providing insights to senior management.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend improvements to procurement processes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in IT procurement, supply chain management, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of IT products, services, and market trends.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with vendors and stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with procurement tools and systems, such as SAP or similar platforms.
- Understanding of contract management and legal compliance in procurement.
- Relevant certifications, such as CIPS or ITIL, are highly desirable.
- Degree in Business, IT, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
