Role Overview
As an IT Support Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for resolving technical issues, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and supporting the IT infrastructure. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first and second-line support for hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, escalating to senior teams when necessary.
- Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Support and maintain the organization’s IT systems, including networks, servers, and applications.
- Monitor system performance and implement updates and patches as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation of technical issues, resolutions, and processes.
- Provide technical guidance and training to end-users to improve IT proficiency.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to support IT projects and initiatives.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an IT Support Engineer or in a similar technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, network configurations, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or equivalent, are desirable.
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is advantageous but not essential.
