GCP DevOps Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

We are seeking an experienced GCP DevOps Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team and drive the optimization of our cloud infrastructure.
Role Overview
As a GCP DevOps Engineer / SRE, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems on Google Cloud Platform. This role involves designing and maintaining infrastructure, automating processes, and collaborating with teams to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on GCP.
- Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes and improve system reliability.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications are designed for scalability, security, and high availability.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform or similar.
- Optimize system performance by automating repetitive tasks and improving operational efficiency.
- Stay updated on GCP advancements, DevOps trends, and SRE best practices to enhance systems and processes.
- Document processes, configurations, and workflows to support team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or SRE, with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong proficiency in tools and practices like Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure, networking, and security best practices.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Stackdriver).
- Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or similar.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage with cross-functional teams effectively.
- GCP certifications, such as Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer, are highly desirable.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
