Cyber Security Engineer

Role Overview
As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will design, implement, and manage security solutions to protect against evolving cyber threats. This role involves proactive monitoring, incident response, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to secure our systems and data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Monitor security systems and respond to incidents, analyzing and mitigating threats in real time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security risks.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security best practices into system and network configurations.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Stay updated on emerging cyber threats and recommend enhancements to the security architecture.
- Conduct security awareness training for employees to foster a culture of security.
- Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cyber Security Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of security principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in managing and configuring security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, firewalls, and EDR solutions.
- Solid knowledge of networking protocols, operating systems, and cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+, are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
