IT Support Advisor/Technician

Role Overview
As an IT Support Advisor/Technician, you will serve as the first point of contact for resolving technical issues. You will provide expert advice, troubleshoot hardware and software problems, and ensure that users receive timely and effective solutions to their IT challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to IT support requests via phone, email, or ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues for users.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Provide advice and guidance to users on IT tools, best practices, and security measures.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings in line with organizational policies.
- Document incidents, resolutions, and IT procedures to maintain accurate records.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior support teams or specialists when necessary.
- Assist with system upgrades, updates, and installations as required.
- Maintain a customer-focused approach, ensuring a high level of service delivery.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an IT support or technical advisory role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, and Active Directory.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with users at all technical levels.
- Experience using IT service management tools and ticketing systems is advantageous.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL, or equivalent are desirable.
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
