Service Desk Despatcher

Role Overview
As a Service Desk Dispatcher, you will be the central point of contact for managing incoming support requests and coordinating the appropriate allocation of resources. You will ensure smooth workflow operations and maintain excellent communication between clients and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for incoming IT support requests, ensuring accurate logging and prioritization.
- Assign and dispatch support tasks to the appropriate IT engineers or teams.
- Monitor the status of open tickets to ensure timely resolution and adherence to SLAs.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with clients regarding the status of their requests.
- Collaborate with the service desk team to optimize workflows and resource allocation.
- Escalate complex or high-priority issues to senior staff or management when necessary.
- Generate reports on ticket activity, resolution times, and team performance.
- Maintain and update service desk documentation and procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a service desk or customer support role, with a focus on coordination and communication.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with clients and team members effectively.
- Familiarity with IT service management tools and ticketing systems.
- Basic understanding of IT systems and terminology is an advantage.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-focused mindset, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
