IT Support Engineer

Role Overview
As an IT Support Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving IT systems and resolving technical issues for end-users. You will work across a variety of technologies to ensure the seamless operation of hardware, software, and networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first- and second-line IT support to users, addressing hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi, VPN, and LAN/WAN.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings in line with company policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, solutions, and system configurations.
- Assist in system upgrades, deployments, and IT projects.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless service delivery and integration.
- Provide training and guidance to users on IT tools and best practices.
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues to ensure reliability.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an IT support or technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Office 365, and Active Directory.
- Familiarity with networking basics, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive and user-focused approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of engaging with users at all levels.
- Experience with IT service management tools and ticketing systems is advantageous.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or equivalent are desirable.
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
