Head of IT Applications – Logistics and Supply Chain

Role Overview
As the Head of IT Applications, you will lead the strategy, development, and management of IT applications across the logistics and supply chain functions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure applications align with business goals, optimize processes, and deliver exceptional performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the IT applications strategy for logistics and supply chain operations.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and support of applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Lead a team of IT professionals, providing mentorship and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Manage budgets, resources, and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective application delivery.
- Monitor application performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
- Ensure applications adhere to security, compliance, and regulatory standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging emerging technologies to enhance capabilities.
- Prepare and present performance reports, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in managing IT applications, preferably within the logistics and supply chain sector.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain and logistics processes, technologies, and trends.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing IT teams.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Proficiency in enterprise applications, ERP systems, and supply chain software.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering business value.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Relevant certifications in project management or IT service management are desirable.
