Information Security Consultant

Role Overview
As an Information Security Consultant, you will work closely with clients to assess their security posture, develop tailored strategies, and implement solutions that address their unique needs. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing their resilience against cyber threats while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive security assessments and gap analyses for client organizations.
- Develop and implement information security strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Advise clients on security best practices, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with clients to design and implement secure system architectures and controls.
- Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies to provide proactive recommendations.
- Provide training and awareness programs to enhance client knowledge of information security.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients, outlining findings and recommended actions.
- Support clients in achieving compliance with standards such as ISO 27001, GDPR, or NIST.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Information Security Consultant or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of information security principles, frameworks, and best practices.
- Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, vulnerability testing, and incident response.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements, including GDPR, ISO 27001, or PCI DSS.
- Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, SIEM, and endpoint protection.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.
- Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
