IT Service Desk Analyst – SPACE Agency

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Service Desk Analyst to join our team and provide exceptional technical support across our organization.
Role Overview
As an IT Service Desk Analyst, you will be the first point of contact for all IT-related issues, ensuring prompt resolution and excellent service delivery. You will support a wide range of systems and technologies critical to the agency's success, enabling smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line technical support to users, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Log, prioritize, and track service requests, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
- Troubleshoot and escalate complex issues to second-line support or specialist teams when necessary.
- Configure, install, and maintain IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Support and maintain the agency's IT systems, ensuring minimal disruption to critical operations.
- Assist in onboarding new users, including account setup and IT orientation.
- Maintain documentation for IT processes, solutions, and user guides.
- Contribute to IT projects and system upgrades as required.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an IT support or service desk role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, and Active Directory.
- Familiarity with network troubleshooting, including Wi-Fi, VPN, and DNS.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills, capable of engaging with users at all levels.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks.
- Experience in a high-security or regulated environment is advantageous.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL, or equivalent are desirable.
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
