Senior IT Technician

Role Overview
As a Senior IT Technician, you will play a critical role in managing and supporting IT operations, resolving technical issues, and ensuring the seamless delivery of IT services. You will act as a key resource for both end-users and junior IT staff, demonstrating expertise in troubleshooting, system maintenance, and project implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced technical support for hardware, software, and network systems.
- Act as an escalation point for complex IT issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Install, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, desktops, and peripherals.
- Manage and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Assist with system upgrades, patch management, and routine maintenance tasks.
- Monitor IT systems to ensure performance, availability, and security.
- Document IT procedures, solutions, and configurations to enhance knowledge sharing.
- Mentor and support junior IT staff, sharing expertise and promoting best practices.
- Contribute to IT projects, including system implementations and process improvements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an IT support or technical role, with a strong understanding of IT infrastructure.
- Expertise in Windows operating systems, Active Directory, Office 365, and networking fundamentals.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V is advantageous.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with users at all technical levels.
- Experience with IT service management tools and processes.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or equivalent are desirable.
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
