Project Quantity Surveyor - Developer

We are seeking a skilled Project Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team and play a key role in managing project costs and ensuring the successful delivery of our developments.
Role Overview
As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing all cost-related aspects of our projects, from initial estimates to final accounts. Working closely with the project management team, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and procurement plans for development projects.
- Oversee tendering processes, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Monitor project costs, identify variances, and implement corrective measures where necessary.
- Conduct valuations and prepare payment applications for clients and subcontractors.
- Prepare and manage cash flow forecasts and cost reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assess and manage risks associated with project costs and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Liaise with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure cost-effective project delivery.
- Manage final accounts and ensure all financial aspects of projects are closed accurately.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within a property development or construction environment.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management.
- Proficiency in cost management software and tools.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities, with the ability to engage with clients and stakeholders effectively.
- Familiarity with current construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field; RICS membership or equivalent is desirable.
