Role Overview
As a Progress OpenEdge Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain applications using the Progress OpenEdge platform. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to delivering high-quality software solutions that align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using the Progress OpenEdge platform.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate software solutions with other systems.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of new features and enhancements.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in Progress OpenEdge to incorporate best practices.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for all development work.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in developing applications using Progress OpenEdge.
- Strong understanding of software development principles, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
- Experience with databases and writing complex queries using Progress OpenEdge database.
- Familiarity with integration processes and APIs is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with a focus on delivering solutions that meet user needs.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
