IT Support Technician

Role Overview
As an IT Support Technician, you will provide first-line and second-line support to users, ensuring the smooth functioning of hardware, software, and network systems. This role demands excellent troubleshooting skills, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line and second-line support for IT issues, resolving hardware, software, and network problems.
- Install, configure, and maintain IT systems, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Assist with user account management, including setup, password resets, and permissions.
- Monitor system performance and ensure the stability and security of IT infrastructure.
- Document support activities, solutions, and system changes in line with company policies.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement system updates, patches, and new technologies.
- Deliver technical guidance and training to users to enhance their IT proficiency.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and security protocols.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an IT support or technical role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking concepts.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, and ticketing systems is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of supporting users with varying technical expertise.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or equivalent are desirable.
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
