IT Support Technician

Role Overview
As an IT Support Technician, you will be the first point of contact for resolving IT-related issues, ensuring smooth operations across hardware, software, and network systems. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and a customer-focused approach to deliver timely and effective support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and network issues, resolving them promptly.
- Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, applications, and systems.
- Manage user accounts, including setup, password resets, and permissions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, escalating complex issues when necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of support activities, incidents, and resolutions.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement updates, patches, and new systems.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and security protocols.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with users and providing updates on progress.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an IT support or helpdesk role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking concepts.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or equivalent are desirable.
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
