System Support Technician

Role Overview
As a System Support Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and functionality of IT systems. You will work closely with users and technical teams to resolve issues, maintain system performance, and support ongoing IT projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network systems, resolving issues promptly.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot system faults to ensure smooth operation.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of support activities, solutions, and system changes.
- Support end-users by resolving technical queries and providing training when necessary.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement upgrades, patches, and new system deployments.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and IT policies across the organization.
- Identify opportunities for system improvements and contribute to process optimization initiatives.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a technical support or system administration role.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, including operating systems (Windows/Linux), networks, and hardware.
- Familiarity with IT tools such as Active Directory, Office 365, and virtualization platforms.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of supporting users at all levels.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are desirable.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
